Rhubarb

Common Name: Indian Rhubarb , Chinese Rhubarb, Medicinal Rhubarb.
Plant name: Rheum officinale
Chemical constituents:  Anthraquinone glycosides: rhein (sennosides A and B), aloe-emodin, Resveratrol,Tannins, Anthranoids. Oxalic acid,Tannins ,pectin, phenolic carboxylic acids in small amounts .
Uses:
Used for the management of GI and renal function disorders.
Used  for the treatment of hyperlipidemia and cancer.
Rhubarb is used as purgative and astringent tonic.
It is  especially useful in atonic dyspepsia.
The herb can be used as a strong laxative
