  • SOLUTION
A liquid preparation that contains one or more chemical substances dissolved, i.e., molecularly dispersed, in a suitable solvent or mixture of mutually miscible solvents.
  • SOLUTION, CONCENTRATE
A liquid preparation (i.e., a substance that flows readily in its natural state) that contains a drug dissolved in a suitable solvent or mixture of mutually miscible solvents; the drug has been strengthened by the evaporation of its nonactive parts.

  • SOLUTION, FOR SLUSH
A solution for the preparation of an iced saline slush, which is administered by irrigation and used to induce regional hypothermia (in conditions such as certain open heart and kidney surgical procedures) by its direct application.
  • SOLUTION, GEL FORMING, EXTENDED RELEASE
A solution that forms a gel when it comes in contact with ocular fluid, and which allows at least a reduction in dosing frequency.
