M.Pharm. (Pharmaceutics)
The course addresses a scientific area that, at the present time, is the basis for some of the main methods of research in the area of development of pharmaceutical products. It is designed to familiarize the student with the fundamental principles pertaining to and the techniques employed in the formulation design for pharmaceutical agents. Introduction of the student to research techniques in the pharmaceutical sciences is made at the initial stage of their studies which enriches their understanding and application of their knowledge during their research projects. Student will complete the course with advanced knowledge and skills applicable for a variety of practice settings in dosage form design, manufacturing technology, regulatory aspects, patents, quality control and quality assurance.

M.Pharm. (Pharmacology)
Program Introduction
The course is of two years duration. The first year curriculum is designed with exposure to advances in pharmacology, wherein the candidate has potential to equip himself/herself with all preclinical pharmacological, toxicological and safety pharmacological studies. Furthermore, he/she gets adequate exposure of clinical research methods, newer molecular biology techniques.
The second year is mainly through dissertation on the topic of industrial research and development, new drug discovery etc. Thus the two year program will enable pharmacology student to cope up with present day need of preclinical and clinical research in new drug discovery and development.

DURATION
The course shall extend over two years, consisting of three trimesters in the first year, followed by research work on industry related project and submission of dissertation in the second year.
INTAKE
20* seats
*15 percent seats reserved for Management Quota.
ATTENDANCE
A student is expected to attend all classes. However, a student must put in 80% of total attendance for each subject, in the absence of which he/she will not be eligible to write the exam for that subject/ submit the dissertation as the case may be. A student is required to monitor his/ her own attendance and no separate notice will be displayed.
In case of genuine medical/ professional/ other reasons resulting in shortage of attendance, the student is encouraged to attend classes the following year as per the rules of re-registration and re-examination of the University. Absence beyond 20% will not be condoned for any reason whatsoever.
